Hormone Healthy Products: Where to start without feeling overwhelmed.

A few years ago, I had a wake-up call about how I was living and the things I was exposed to daily. I started realizing there are so many things in our environment that can affect our health, and I wanted to do what I could to improve my health and keep my family healthy before we were forced to make changes later.
Once I started researching, I quickly became overwhelmed. There is so much information out there, and it can feel like you have to change everything overnight.
I learned very quickly that the only way to make sustainable changes was to make one small change at a time.
Start With What You Can Control
We were already buying organic fruits and vegetables when possible, so that felt like a good place to start.
Next, I began looking at ingredients on packaged foods and tried to choose foods with simpler ingredients. We still do our best to eat this way, but we are not perfect — and that’s okay. You can’t get away from everything, and the goal isn’t perfection, it’s improvement.
Then I started looking into the products we put in, on, and around our bodies — things like skincare, hair care, cleaning products, and household items.
Many of these products contain what are called endocrine disruptors, which are chemicals that can interfere with the body’s hormone system. Over time, this can add to the overall stress load on the body.
This doesn’t mean you need to throw everything away and start over. Again, small changes over time make the biggest difference.
One Small Change at a Time
Some simple swaps people often start with include:
skincare
cleaning products
laundry detergent
fragrance products
plastics and food storage
cookware
personal care products
You don’t have to change everything at once. Pick one area and start there.
Products I Personally Use
As I started researching and trying different products, I found a company called Hugh & Grace, whose mission is to create hormone-friendly products for the whole family.
I personally use their skincare, hair care, cleaning products, and some of their supplements, and I’ve really enjoyed the products and the company’s mission. I also chose to become an advocate for their products because their values aligned with my own desire to reduce toxin exposure in our home and support hormone health in a more holistic way.

Final Thoughts
Low-toxin living and hormone health can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
Like many things in health and wellness, it’s about small changes over time, not perfection.
This is something I often talk about with the women I work with — looking at lifestyle, stress, nutrition, and environment together to support overall balance in the body.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, sometimes it helps to have someone walk through it with you.
